About Us
There is a serious problem with childcare and education in America. Failing schools, rising mental health problems, ineffectual foster and group homes, increasing levels of teacher and staff turnover, soaring school dropout rates, and sinking test scores, are everyday occurances in today’s schools and child-serving organizations. But a transformation is coming.
The National Children’s Guild Fund (NCGF) is dedicated to transforming schools and other child-serving organizations nationwide through its philosophy of Transformation Education. We do this by supporting the organizations that test, practice and promote methods for transforming how people care for and educate children and youth with a variety of disadvantages, including trauma-related behavior disorders, autism spectrum disorders, multiple disabilities and ineffectual education.
The Children’s Guild is the laboratory that researches, tests and demonstrates the new transformation education approaches for these children and youth.
The Upside Down Organization distributes the tested transformation education methods and tools to schools, child-serving organizations and parents through trainings, consultations and products.
Monarch Academy is the example of transformation education working in a public school setting
The Endowment is the insurance that transformation education will nationally revolutionize education and child services.
Through these organizations and the endowment, NCGF will create environments that motivate discovery, enrich the spirit and stimulate the intellect; provide teachers and caregivers with tools to motivate growth and development; create cultures that are youth-brain compatible; and arm administrators and managers with techniques to more effectively manage their organizations. These new approaches, put into practice, will help underserved children, adolescents and young adults become productive and empowered members of society, rewarded with more skills, more opportunities and more hope for their futures.
